This year jazzahead! RECONNECT- and international SHOWCASING-artists will be performing on their way to or from jazzahead! as part of the Green Touring Initiative. jazzahead! has tried to established a first small, hand-picked Green Touring Network, to make collaborative booking possible. During this process, we were once again made aware of how important it is to support international tour planning via an online tool. No matter how well networked you may already be, the whole thing remains a mammoth task that cannot be managed manually. Thus, we are happy to announce our first fourteen concerts of this Green Touring Initiative, carried out in cooperation with partners such as Instituto Cervantes, Andalusian Institute of Performing Arts and Music , JazzHall Hamburg, Mitrovica International Jazz Days or Münsterland Festival.
The initiative is still open to promoters to add further performances to these tours. New tours with RECONNECT / SHOWCASING artists 2025 throughout the year are welcome to be initiated.

In future, tourings will be implemented in a very low-threshold and efficient manner with the help of the new CooProg Music tool, co-developed by Zone Franche/ONDA and jazzahead! and presented for the first time at this year’s conference program. The Green Touring Network only functions with the help of various cooperation partners. The JazzHall Hamburg offers a concert location just a few kilometers away from jazzahead!

The Instituto Cervantes —in its mission to internationalize Spanish music through its 90 centers around the world— is increasing its participation in jazzahead! this year, organizing 7 concerts in 6 cities across 3 countries with 5 artists. Antonio Serrano & Kaele Jiménez will perform at CLUBNIGHT on April 25, and the andalucian Triplanetas will perform on April 26 in Instituto Cervantes Bremen. Extending the Spanish participation in the Reconnect focus, that week the Instituto Cervantes will present Trinidad Jiménez Trío in Berlin; Marco Mezquida in Vienna and Hamburg; Irene Reig Quartet in Brussels; and Antonio Serrano & Kaele Jiménez in Frankfurt.

In the framework of the Green Touring Network an initiative of the Andalusian Institute of Performing Arts and Music (Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions, Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Andalusian Regional Government) in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute, will offer a professional meeting space with Andalusian jazz delegates and present Triplanetas, an outstanding group of the Andalusian jazz scene, in concert.

As another station, there will be a closing concert as part of the Green Touring Network at the Mitrovica International Jazz Days.

The Münsterland Festival part 13 is heading to the south of Europe in the fall of 2025 (Oct. 4 to Nov. 8): to Spain. Spain is one of the largest and most diverse countries in Europe: between the green Atlantic coast in the north and the hot beaches of Andalusia in the south, there is a lot to discover. The Münsterland Festival will present an authentic Spanish program that includes exciting, surprising and, of course, typically Spanish things. The more than 30 venues are spread throughout Münsterland.
