Three jazz musicians, German Joachim Kühn, Moroccan Majid Bekkas and Spaniard Ramon Lopez fulfill their dream of making music together in Morocco for a month. Their goal is to combine Gnawa music from the edge of the Sahara with European jazz. They travel to the desert to record with traditional drummers and other musicians are invited to their small recording studio in Rabat. Tension rises as the different styles and cultures coalesce and the film shows how much work goes into the production of a record.
