C ologne is one of Germany`s most important jazz cities. The scene in Cologne is very much driven by the artists and their initiatives, such as Stadtgarten, KLAENG Kollektiv and Cologne Jazzweek. We will talk with three important personalities of the Cologne scene: Janning Trumann, internationally awarded trombone player, composer and head of the "Cologne Jazzweek" , Ulla Oster, renowned bass player, composer and leader of national and international projects as well as head of the „Initiative Jazz Haus Köln“ and Benedikt Müller, representing the location „ Loft“, which for more than 30 years now is one of the main live and recording venues in the city.
