Networking at jazzahead! digital
|
What must not be missing at jazzahead!
digital, of course, are the opportunities the exchange
with new and old acquaintances and colleagues, apart from
the professional and concert program. Our
platform offers digital matchmaking based on profiles,
contact and file exchange among each other via chat as
well as pre-scheduled or direct video calls. The free
“hang out” times on the platform invite people to come
together in casual conversations, as happens at
jazzahead! in the hallways, at the Schlachthof or the
hotel bar.

The Jakob Manz Project on 29 April from Club100
|
A shooting star of the German scene does the
honors: the young saxophone talent Jakob Manz will heat
up the stage of Club100 with his band The Jakob Manz
Project on 29 April at 8 PM. Through the band’s
energy, the audience will experience both the depths of
modern groove and soul music, as well as the magical and
tranquil flow of contemporary jazz: a dynamic and
energetic evening that won’t soon be forgotten.
Club100 is a unique project: a solidarity-based
association of organizers and clubs, among others, that
makes concerts possible in times of pandemic and gives
artists a stage.

Tin Men & The Telephone on 30 April
|
On Friday, 30 April, 8
PM, Dutch band Tin Men & The Telephone will offer a
virtual interactive live concert via Zoom. Produced out
of Amsterdam, for the jazzahead! audience at home. The
audience will not only be able to sit back and enjoy the
concert, they will also be able to help shape the concert
program with the help of smartphones and the specially
programmed app “Tinmendo”. At first, they are only asked
for piece requests, then for whole harmonies, chords and
finally for tones that are spontaneously put together. In
this way, much emerges from the moment.

Jasmin Tabatabai & David Klein Quartett: „Jagd auf
Rehe“
|
The finale of the festival will be Jasmin
Tabatabai with the David Klein Quartet on Sunday, 2 May,
6 PM on the stage of Metropol Theater Bremen.
Tabatabai is one of the great German television and
cinema stars, but the German-Iranian actress also
inspires as a singer. She and Swiss musician, composer
and producer David Klein know no stylistic boundaries and
cut across genres. The Süddeutsche Zeitung mentions
Tabatabai in the same breath as Marlene Dietrich and
Hildegard Knef: “There are these voices that you
recognize immediately, they just have that certain
something that burns itself into the acoustic memory
forever.”
