jazzahead! showcase juries
The 40 showcase concerts at jazzahead! are chosen
by international juries. Consisting of festival
directors and program managers from clubs in Germany,
Europe and overseas, the juries are each assigned to
one module – for the first time and due to the large
number of applications for European Jazz Meeting this
module has two assigned juries. All jurors must listen
to each one of the applications – a big and
time-consuming task, of which we are convinced,
however. The jury member 2020 will be announced at
Young Professionals project to launch at jazzahead!
At jazzahead! 2020, together with
Kine Lundervold, we will launch a network that aims to
create a community of young or new professionals in the
jazz industry (i.e. everyone who works with jazz and is
not a musician), making a career in music more available
and appealing to a younger generation. In a first step we
will focus on discussions and accessibility: Who will
carry on the legacy? What can we do to encourage young
people to get involved? Do we have gender equality? And
why is new input important?
Young professionals, get in touch with Kine Lundervold
for your participation in 2020.
