“Free jazz at its highest level” and “telepathic unity” define Juno-winning Montreal alto saxophonist François Carrier’s enduring partnership with Quebec percussionist Michel Lambert. They appear in a trio with British bass phenomenon John Edwards. A true virtuoso, Edwards’ staggering range of techniques and boundless musical imagination have redefined the possibilities of the double bass and dramatically expanded its role. The trio’s live album “Elements” (FMR) has “a sonic flow almost unstoppable in its intensity and inspiration.” (MusicWorks). “Every life form in the universe is a source of vibration, hence music,” says Carrier. “So let’s sing, dance and play to the sounds of Life.”François Carrier (as), Michel Lambert (dr), John Edwards (ac-b)
