Esteemed Finnish guitarist Mikko Iivanainen creates tranquil and natural sounding sonic portraits. He has distinguished himself in the Finnish jazz field with his harmonic depth and diverse timbral universe. His latest album “A River Runs Through It” guides the listener through a familiar yet mysterious and serene Finnish landscape – almost as if taking the listener by the hand and leading them along a path at a peaceful pace.“In music, I find that more important than anything is the so-called x factor, which is always so difficult to put your finger on. Call it soul if you will.”Mikko Iivanainen (el, g)
