In late March 2020, shortly after lockdowns began in Canada, award-winning jazz pianist/ vocalist Jim Clayton decided to amuse himself and his nine-year-old daughter Lenny by going live on Facebook from behind their piano. They answered questions and took song requests. On the third evening, while watching television, Jim got the first of many messages from viewers: “aren’t you doing a show tonight?”
So they did. 750 shows later, the following for Jim’s Piano Bar (named by viewers) grew to 30,000 international online fans, and Jim was profiled by major newspapers and on broadcast news. And once venues reopened, the online success led to a steady stream of live shows. In this inspiring and informative presentation, Jim shares how he built this following without leaving his home studio. This presentation includes excerpts from his current keynote presentation, designed for conventions and conferences.
