A magnificent concert of jazz pianist Oscar Peterson with one of his legendary trios – Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen on bass and Martin Drew on drums – was recorded in the Berlin Philharmonic in the summer of 1985. The trio plays references to classics such as Bach and Duke Ellington as well as Peterson’s own compositions like “Blues Etude” and “Cakewalk.” “The way the three musicians constantly challenge each other playfully, the way they communicate with each other on an equal footing, is still captivating today.” (J. Seibold in AUDIO 3/2007)Introduction: Ernst Steinhoff, Jazz history lecturerD 1985, 80 Min.Tickets At the box office: The box office opens half an hour before the first screening, or +49 (0)421 / 957 9920 (voice box, only possible until the day before)Tickets: EUR 9 / reduced EUR 5.50
