Virtual Session #4 Thursday, 17th December, 3 PM CET: Monetization of concerts on the net: the paid stream

The longer the lockdowns due to the Corona crisis prevent a lively concert life, the more concerts are reduced to live streams on the net. Most of them are free of charge. What seems to be an advantage for consumers, means a bitter loss for the musicians and all other participants in the music business. Therefore, one of the most burning questions in the event industry is: How can live streams be monetized?
The in-depth talk of our fourth jazzahead! Virtual Session will give an overview of the most common questions related to monetization of live stream concerts. The session will consist of three pillars: it will start with a short overview of the different paid live stream models and outline the providers on the market: Who are they and what are the main differences, options, features and financial aspects? Secondly, we will have a look at questions concerning rights of live stream content: what is important to know and what needs to be thought of beforehand? The third focus will be set on marketing of live streams: How can the live concert be promoted and attract potential online ticket consumers the best way?
