Winner of the annual Musica Jazz referendum in 2022. Downbeat Rising Star since 2023. Winner of the Seifert Competition in Krakow in 2024. Italian violin phenomenon Anaïs Drago has done a range of exciting projects: performed in a duo with Enrico Rava, co-written and performed a Zappa- and baroque-inspired album “Shake Your Duty”, played solo with acoustic and electric violin and electronics, plus theatre productions and stadium shows with a pop star. She has been invited as leader to major festivals such as Umbria Jazz and Münster. Her “ReLeVé” trio investigates tension and balance, stasis and dynamism; it is “the main focus of the moment" and defined as "something unstable yet danceable".
