Founded as a platform for creative and innovative music, UNIT Records has become a key force in European jazz. Under the joint leadership of bassists Andreas Waelti and Luca Sisera, the label has built a catalogue defined by artistic independence, creativity, and a collaborative spirit. Deeply embedded in the European scene, they bring firsthand experience and a networked perspective to create their new vision. Beyond releasing music, UNIT develops initiatives in booking, promotion, video production, and artist residencies, while offering guidance on artist development, mental health, social security, and fundraising.
UNIT follows a distinctive, artist-centered model in which musicians retain full ownership of their copyrights and share fairly in sales. By taking on administrative and promotional tasks, the label gives artists back what is most valuable: time and space to focus on their creative work.
