jazzahead! Is Looking Forward to the Partner Country Sweden in 2026

Every year in April, the jazzahead! FESTIVAL is centered around an anually changing partner country takes place in parallel to the jazzahead! Trade Fair in Bremen. Together with numerous cooperation partners, we organize a city-wide music programme around the world’s largest meeting place for the jazz scene. In addition to the showcase festival, the programme includes the GRAND OPENING, the CLUBNIGHT and a fringe programme.

CLUBNIGHT

Since 2011, jazzahead! has been presenting jazz and related music in Bremen’s city centre for a predominantly regional audience as part of its CLUBNIGHT. In 2026, we’re taking it a step further and making it a DOUBLE feature: Experience jazzahead! CLUBNIGHT on TWO consecutive NIGHTS: Friday in the city of Bremen and – NEW – on Saturday also in Bremerhaven, with an “all in one” ticket!

Impro & Jazz for Kids

Improvisation and jazz for children has been one of the core topics in the specialist program since jazzahead! was founded. While the first events were held at a local level, the topic has developed over a national to an international focus.

Other Events

Every year jazzahead! puts up some special events as part of the festivals fringe program. In the past there were interesting formats such as Jazz ‚n’ the Movies, the Afterglow Jazzride or the Up and Coming Writers Camp.
