Expand is a transatlantic quintet of top musicians who are long term close associates of Sara Decker (vocals, composer, lyric writer): trumpeter Heidi Bayer, vibraphonist Carlotta Ribbe and for jazzahead! 2026 with bassist Tabea Kind and drummer Michala Østergaard Nielsen. Decker’s songs are stylish and impressive, offering various musical points of contact: enticing melodies and instrumental detail, rhythmic and harmonic finesse, unobtrusive lightness and depth.
